This sounds really good. Outside of spaghetti, I'm the only Italian food lover in the house. I may have to reduce the quantity for just one, but I am going to try it!
ReplyDeleteCarol - it's really a good salad - and it will last for a week in the refrigerator - that is, if it isn't devoured by then. You can use any types of cheeses - I just happen to have a abundance of those and that was my choice for today. But I've made this with Meunster, Monterey jack, pepper jack, provolone, asiago, gouda - any kind. You can use one kind, two kinds, three - it's all up to you personal taste.
ReplyDeleteI ran out of crushed red pepper flakes - that is why I added a pinch of chili powder. Sometimes I substitute the Italian seasoning with just oregano or just basil or a bit of both.
